Currently, free video call feature (FaceTime) between Apple devices can only work with Wi-Fi connection. However, this feature is most likely going to add 3G support.

According to the verge, through a notification appears on 5.1.1 IOS operating system Apple has just been released, when users turn off 3G while making calls with FaceTime, there will be a message "Disabling 3G may FaceTime end. Are you sure you want to disable 3G ".

Currently, Apple has not released any information about FaceTime capability can run on the 3G or 4G LTE network.

However, in the context of the network is using the 3G service packages to gain more profit, the FaceTime 3G or 4G support is possible.
